Limitless Campaign Goal Achieved!May 13, 2019
Goggans Family makes $2.5 million capstone gift.
Performance & Community Center groundbreaking set for Sept. 27, 2019.
Dear Parish community,
We have done it! Together we have soared past our Limitless campaign goal.
Next fall we will break ground on a new, state-of-the-art performance and community center that will transform the face of our Midway campus and the experience of students PreK-12.
We set a lofty goal of raising $8 million this school year. Now, just days from the end of the school year, you have flown past all expectations, contributing $9.5 million in 2018-19. As a result, we have reached our Limitless campaign goal of $30 million.
More than 1,035 Parish families made this possible, including parents of current and past students, alumni, grandparents, faculty and staff members. You have accelerated our vision, and we have set a fall groundbreaking date for Friday, Sep. 27. In two years, in 2021, we will open the doors to a new world-class facility for hosting the arts, student talent and milestone events.
I want to extend particular thanks to the Goggans family, who buoyed us past our campaign goal with a capstone gift of $2.5 million. We simply would not be in this position without their generosity. Many of you may not know the Goggans family yet, because Greyson (’31), Malachi (’31), Abraham (’29) and Benjamin (’29) are new Lower School students this year. I have come to know their parents Mandy and Ken as a purposeful, big-hearted couple who are deeply devoted to their children’s growth as individuals, as is clearly evidenced by their daily commute from east Texas each school day. We are humbled by their commitment and generosity – all the more because they are relatively new to the Parish community.
I extend my deepest thanks to the Goggans family and ALL of you who piloted the Limitless campaign to its final destination. In the first phase of the campaign, you helped build the Gene E. Phillips Activity Center, and now you are making the long-awaited Noble Family Performing Arts Center a reality. The significance of these accomplishments, however, exceeds the walls of any facilities. The accelerated success of the Limitless campaign, thanks to a groundswell of support from Parish families, demonstrates the solidarity within this community and its singular commitment to our School’s vision. As Parish grows, so do our students and their potential.
I look forward to standing alongside you on Friday, Sep. 27 as we break ground on a new performance and community center. Stay tuned for more details about this momentous event this summer!
